1991: Attaché at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
1993 – 1995: Seconded to the Royal Hashemite Court, where he worked in the Office of His Majesty’s Military Secretary
1995 – 1999: Joined Jordan’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Geneva
1999 – 2001: Seconded to the Royal Hashemite Court, where he worked in the Office of His Majesty’s Cultural Adviser and in the State Security Council
2001 – 2006: Acting Charge d’Affaires and Deputy Ambassador of Jordan in Washington, D.C.
2006 – 2009: Director of the International Affairs Department at the Royal Hashemite Court at a senior level
2009 – 2013: Minister of Planning and International Cooperation in the first and second governments of Samir Rifai, the second government of Marouf Bakhit, the government of Awn Khasawneh, the second government of Fayez Tarawneh, and the first government of Abdullah Ensour
- As Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, he also served as Jordan’s Governor to the World Bank, the Islamic Development Bank, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
2014 – 2018: Director of the Office of His Majesty the King
2018: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Economic Affairs
2021 – Present: Director of His Majesty’s Office until his current appointment
